Berlin, the vibrant capital of Germany, is a city with rich history, iconic landmarks, and dynamic culture. Recently, I had the pleasure of exploring this incredible city alongside my father, where we dived deep into its past and present, wandering through its famous landmarks. From the Brandenburg Gate to the Berlin Wall Memorial, each site offered a glimpse into the story of a city that has been at the heart of world history.
After soaking in Berlin’s cultural and historical atmosphere, we took a unique detour just outside the city to experience something entirely different—Tropical Islands Resort. Nestled inside an old zeppelin hangar, this incredible space has been transformed into a tropical paradise, and stepping inside truly felt like entering another world.
Despite being in the heart of Europe, the weather inside the dome was always warm and inviting, as though we’d been whisked away to a far-flung tropical destination. The resort boasts several pools, where we spent countless hours swimming and relaxing. There are also multiple saunas, perfect for unwinding and letting the stress melt away. For the more adventurous, there are outdoor pools, water slides, and other exciting activities to keep you entertained.
Our accommodation for the stay was a charming bell tent located inside the dome, adding a sense of adventure to our tropical retreat. Sleeping under the canopy, surrounded by lush plants and the sound of water, made for a peaceful and memorable experience.
This (3rd) trip to Berlin, combined with our stay at Tropical Islands, was a perfect blend of city exploration and relaxation. Whether you’re looking to dive into history or simply escape to a warm and welcoming retreat, this itinerary offers the best of both worlds. I highly recommend it for anyone planning their next getaway!
