I’ve had the pleasure of visiting Paris a few times, each trip offering a new perspective on this iconic city. Despite varied opinions, with some labeling Paris as dirty, I’ve always found something to enjoy. My journeys here have mostly been by car, either exploring Paris itself or passing through on my way to the South of France, Italy, or Switzerland.
My first visit to Paris was to celebrate the arrival of 2009. After a long coach journey from London, I welcomed the new year with my friends by attending a midnight mass at an old Gothic Catholic church, followed by a lively party behind the church with locals and travelers from around the world. Since then, I’ve returned several times, including trips with my father and my ex-partner, creating cherished memories in the City of Light.
Whether it’s the charm of the Seine, the allure of historic streets, or the simple joy of a Parisian café, Paris always leaves me with fond memories. It’s a city that, for me, lives up to its luminous reputation.
